When I started at BuzzFeed, I noticed our client-facing materials lacked design consistency. Our product slides, websites, one sheets, and a variety of other materials looked drastically different. The look of client pitches depended on individual sellers. As part of my goal to make these materials more cohesive, I created and designed our first-ever pitch templates. I built the document in Google Slides using Master Templates; this allows certain elements (like headlines) to always keep the same placement, and it's incredibly easy for sellers to drop in logos and photography. The document has to be easy to navigate for sellers with no design background, so I kept the design smart and minimal. The sellers love the pitch templates, as it saves them tons of time and always looks on-brand.
